Rosetta Stone v3.4.7 with Language Levels & Audio Companion
Windows/MacOSX | ALL Languages | + FULL Audio Companion | 50.00 GB

Rosetta Stone includes many of the same features common to other language learning software products – native-speaker audio, text, a voice recognition feature to aid in learning proper pronunciation etc. The software teaches the main four skills of language learning – speaking, listening, reading and writing. There are a number of basic exercises that focus on a combination of skills such as reading and writing over listening and speaking or vice versa, or focus on just one of the skills.

Rosetta Stone - the best program for learning the language at home. Flash allows you to teach the technique as you do in his childhood began to teach their native language - no rules, by immersion, multiple repetition and the formation of the association of a number of different areas of life, development patterns and automatisms in principle from the simple to complex, from a practical perception of writing and rules. This program will teach you not to think automatically perceive and reproduce the most ubiquitous conversational grammatical constructions that are essential for activation of your speaking and start chatting.

In this set includes the program Rosetta Stone 3.4.7, language packs of the world, as well as audio applications to them. Rosetta Stone - No.1 in the world among linguistic software. #64844 Ramadhan Charity Event 2010

Posted by Fatony on 13 August 2010 - 06:22 PM

Posted Image

Assalamu alaikom.

As part of our commitment to helping the unfortunate in our home country, I want to pass this idea through you first to gain your thoughts on the matter and inshallah some support as well.

I was hoping to do a Charity Event during this holy month of Ramadhan and raise money for Orphan kids in Algeria so inshallah they could have nice presents for Eid Al Fitr inshallah. It is important for us to do our bit for the poor and try to bring a smile to their face inshallah. Remember the hadith of our beloved prophet PBUH: a smile on your brother's face is charity.

So what do you guys think? and please think quickly as we are already on the 3rd day of Ramadhan.

What I would need from you guys are 2 things:

2 Orphan Homes (Orphanages) in Algeria whom we can reach and let them know of our commitment inshallah.
1 E-DZ charity Banner which we can spread around forums, facebook and so on. Beebo or Hayamoto can help with this

Finally, whilst I believe Allah swt has given the strength to make this happen, I still will not be able to do it alone. So if you are interested, put your name forward and I will allocate tasks accordingly.

Ramadhan Mubarak

E-DZ Charity.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
More Updates:

I have received great response about this. So let's keep it going.

Our target inshallah is to raise DZD 200,000 (or as per our lingo Twenty Million Centimes)

This amount will be split equally between two Orphan Homes as mentioned above.

This amount is very realistic and so far we have already collected 36% of it. Which is DZD 73,000 ( Seven Million Centimes - rounded)

So please know that we need your support. Tell you aunties, uncles, mothers and fathers about this. Everything will be documented and proof will be provided in the forum.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
31 August 2010 UPDATE

What we have done so far:

1. Organised an event and set a target. (Fatony)

2. Located two potential Orphanages. We decided later to deal with one association to avoid confusion. (Sosso, WF and Amina)

3. We have initiated contact with the chosen association. (Amina)

4. A leaflet and banners were made for the event. (Beebo)

5. We received all professional documents from the association.

6. We visited the premises and pictures were taken. (Writersfreedom)

7. We will use the last few days of Ramadhan to spread the word inshallah. (All Members)

We are on target and not far off from our target (80% OF THE WAY) alhamdulilah. However, after WF’s visit to the location and seeing the condition of the orphanage, we might need to raise the stakes higher. (still to be discussed).

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
04 September 2010

We have achieved our Target of DA 200,000.

Ok alhamdulilah... We have managed to collect the full amount. DZ 200,000. It's been a lot of hard work and many phone calls, convincing people etc... So well done to the team who have made this possible.

-The situation which we have at the moment is we need to re-structure the team so each one knows his task. Ramadhan has been a very busy month for us all, with fasting, work and prayers. Different people had different commitments, this includes myself. So inshallah we will address this in our next event.

- Beebo and I are in discussion about making a dedicated page for this charity. It will have links to where people can donate and in future we will have a bank account opened for e-dz (again this isnt easy)

- As WF has visited the place, and through her comments, I have decided to change our way of helping this association. Instead of giving them the full amount at once, we will control the outflow of this cash. This donation is being raised for the orphan kids and not the association, so our Duty of Care is to the kids. Meaning, this money is to be used to furnish these kids, provide beds, matts whatever is needed and not to pay salaries, bills, outstanding costs of the Association. That is not our job, they have the Ministry of Health for that.

- WF will be responsible for making sure these donations are spent on goods for the kids. So we will get the association to put in an order for whatever is needed, and we will cover the invoice. This ensures that cash is put to good use..

I understand that there are more people who want to Donate, please pm me NOW so we ensure that your funds are received on time.

Barakallahu feekoum.

#73396 How I converted to Islam

Posted by Tageldunt Zelda on 06 September 2011 - 04:01 AM

Saha ga3 ! :D Well , I didnt know where exactly to put this topic so I hope it's in the right section.

I grew up as a protestant-pentecostal christian... what that is is basically a christian who has no connection whatsoever with Catholicism and who adheres to the doctrine of the church you attend.. so the "pastor" functions as the only "pope" of a certain congregation , haha thats why he is called pastor because the people are supposed to be his "sheep" LOL. Anyways, its very emotional and based on "feeling good" with your relationship with God.... and these people dont call Christianity as a religion.. because to them its a bad word lol they would always say that they have a relationship with God and not religion... They said this in order for us christian youth to think that prayer regularly , engaging in rituals and all that stuff was wrong in the eyes of God( swt) because the philosophy was... going to church every sunday or whatever day and praying alot does not make u a christian.... ( then what does ? lol) just believing in jesus as lord and savior is the only thing that God will take in consideration -__- ! But this is where I have to agree with the Catholics.. they believe in faith AND works ... GOOD works ! Now as a muslima.. alhamdulilah ! I realize that having faith.. plus praying 5 times a day and fasting and giving Zakat is a virtue in the eyes of God ( swt). So this is only one of the many reasons why I disliked my old religion. But of course it had a lot to do with Jesus and the trinity... I knew I was worshiping 2 people God( swt) and Jesus( PBUH) and no mattter how much people would say God and jesus is the same person.. ( astaghfirullah !! ) I knew deep down inside that was not logical !! So Islam defined Jesus as a human being ( of course) who was a mighty messenger of God( swt) He was to bring peace and order in the corrupt society of the Jews.. who disobeyed God by not receiving as the Messiah... but Allah has everything in Control.. and Islam also exalted and purified my view of God(Allah) swt !! :) And then I fell in love with the Quran.. and its scientific miracles !! Wow so many good things in Islam ! mashallah ! Of course im only touching the surface of how much I love this deen.. but I just wanted to share my joy with all of you

salam ! :)

Posted by Beebo on 06 June 2010 - 08:34 PM

salam everyone,

I thought i'd post this after everything has been updated and after I have finished fixing all those loose ends.

Just so you know, all of the settings can be changed under settings.jpg

On there you can:
  • Set if you want to link your facebook account so that it's easier to share stuff on facebook from E-DZ
    facebook.jpg
  • Change the notification settings (so that you don't get notified when friends change their settings etc.)
    notification.jpg
One option out of all the new features which is not available (due to the skin's restrictions) is customizing your profile background.

Please report anything that's not working right to the E-DZ Bug Tracker

#51911 New Forum Tour

Posted by Beebo on 01 August 2009 - 09:22 PM

salam everyone and welcome to our new forums :D

As you may have noticed, there are many changes which took place in the past few weeks when we moved to our new home. Most of the changes are great and most are not so great, depending on your taste :P

In this tour, I'll be going over just a few of the options you'll have using this forum which you might not have noticed. I'll keep updating it and hopefully cover most of the forum eventually :)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

1. Visibility:
There is the option which members have which allows them to be "invisible" and so no one would know whether they're online or not. This can be achieved by clicking on the link located under your user menu... if you hover over the link you'll see your current visibility status.

new1.PNG

2. Status:
I am sure most of you know about this one, it's just like MSN lol .... but just in case you don't, there is one in the user drop-menu and also at the right side of the forum at the very top of recent status updates

new2.PNG

3. Attachments:
A great thing about this new forum is the attachment system.. we're able to upload several files and monitor the progress... also, it gives u the option to also add what you attached anywhere in ur post. Most members will have the basic attachment option shown below

new4.PNG

so to switch the better and multi-file system just click on the link which says

Try our advanced uploader which supports multiple file uploading (modern browser required)

and it will take you to the settings menu where you can change the option as shown below

new5.PNG

make sure to tick both options, because the first one will make writing posts very easy and the 2nd will allow you to use the cool attachment system which would look like this

new6.PNG

so you click to attach the file... the file uploads and it will list it for you and you can click on Add to Post and it will add it anywhere you choose.. so if it's a picture u can have it shown anywhere in the post

4. Member info Cards
A cool new feature is the member info cards... if you wanted to take a quick look at who the member is and their info all you have to do is look for the small green arrow beside their name and click it

new7.PNG

5. View Last Post
For those who have joined use recently, this small button allows you to go to the last post in the topic without having to go through all the pages in the topic

new8.PNG

6. Reputation / Thanks button
This is our new thank you system which we got with our new forums. Basically, instead of having to reply with a short thank you for the post or topic, you press on the + button on the bottom right and the member would get that added to their Reputation total.

new9.PNG

currently we have setup a limit of 10 points per day per member. So each member can only give out 10 points per 24 hours (please remember it's forum time NOT your time)

The Reputation levels are:
Neutral 0 - 10 points
Good 11 - 50 points
Very Good 51 - 100 points
Excellent 101 - 500 points
mashallah 501 - 1000 points
Perfect 1001 points and greater

7. Media Button
The new Media button is very easy to use and very smart... all you do is click on it and paste the whole url for the video and it will show it... currently it supports swf Flash, Flickr image sets, Google Videos, Myspace Videos and Youtube Videos... more will be added gradually.

new10.PNG

8. Report System
If you run into a post which you either find offensive or vulgar in any way, please report it. We have a quick and easy system setup for you, so please use it efficiently. At the bottom of each post there is a Report Button which when clicked will bring up a page where you put in the comment to why you're reporting this post

report.PNG

9. Topic Bump
This option allows members to "bump" a topic to the top of the forum without having to actually reply to it.. if you for example wrote something or requested something before and noone replied to you for days.. all u have to do is click on the bump button and it will make the topic go up the forum and mark it as unread for all the members so they can see it.

bump.PNG

10. Forum Rules
Please go to the forum rules and take a quick glance at them as we've altered and changed a few things on there.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

These are the new changes which I can think of right now... as I said, I'll be updating this topic as we go and hopefully cover most of the forum. :)

#75674 Jokes

Posted by Abu Daoud on 27 December 2012 - 07:26 PM

A man took his dog to the vet and the vet examined it and said, "Sorry sir your dog is dead". The man asked for a second opinion so the vet brought a cat into the examination room that sniffed the dog but the dog didn't respond. The vet says again, "I'm sorry sir but your dog is dead". The man asks for a third opinion so the vet brings a Labrador retriever into the examination room. The Labrador retriever sniffs the dog and again there was no response from the man's dog. Reluctantly the man accepts that his dog has died and goes to the receptionist. The receptionist hands him a bill for 10,000DA. "Good grief what's this for?", asks the man. "Well", says the receptionist, "it's 1000DA for the examination, 4000DA for the cat-scan and 5000DA for the Lab report".

Ahed Tamimi, a 13-year-old Palestinian girl who stood up to Israeli soldiers who had
arrested her brother, was invited to Turkey by the Başakşehir Municipality as a guest
 of honor.
Ahed Tamimi and her mother Neriman Tamimi landed in Turkey yesterday at around two pm,
arriving to Istanbul's Atatürk Airport on a Royal Jordanian Airlines flight via
Amman. Thirteen-year-old Tamimi and her mother were greeted by students with flowers
and waving flags from a 'knowledge center' named after the late Cevdet Kılıçlar, who
was killed on the Mavi Marmara. While Ahed made the sign of victory to news reporters,
students had arrived to the airport wearing t-shirts with images of the young girl
standing up to Israeli soldiers. Expressing how pleased she was to be in Turkey, Ahed
Tamimi said, "I love Erdoğan very much. I feel very happy to be in Erdoğan's
homeland." When asked to relay what happened with the Israeli soldiers, Ahed Tamimi
stated, "I wasn't scared of the Israeli soldiers. I let them feel the Palestinian
spirit and fear."

TAMIMI TO RECEIVE AWARD FOR COURAGE While in Turkey, Ahed Tamimi will be the
recipient of the Hanzala Courage Award handed out by the Başakşehir Municipality and
will also participate in a panel on Palestine where she will provide a child's
perspective on the painful events happening in her nation. Ahed Tamimi, whose father
is already in prison, stood up to Israeli soldiers when they arrested her brother, in
a display of courage talked about all over the world.

#72219 أحجار في رقعة الشطرنج

Posted by Lilia on 09 May 2011 - 06:44 PM

Posted Image

#71533 Algeria, Arab or not Arab?

Posted by Zakaria on 14 March 2011 - 07:51 PM

No one can say " Algeria is that, Algeria is this".

First of all we have to understand that Algeria's history is long and extremely rich and complicated, as well as all Maghreb countries.

Second of all its history has shaped "regions", "areas" in Algeria which are very different and in the meanwhile very close.

Today, we tend to name these regions by their linguistic predominance.

→The Western part of Algeria, " al qita3 el wahrani", is a region where 99% of the population speak arabic.
→The center part of Algeria, around Algiers, is cosmopolitan. We have a majority of arabic speakers, and some berber speakers, Chenouwi, and some Kabylian.
→The Center-eastern part of algeria, the kabylian region, is made of a majority of kabylian speakers, there are too some arabic speakers, in Bejaia for instance.
→The eastern par of Algeria is divided into several region, the 9sentina area, where the majority of the pop. speak arabic, we got the chaouia area, where the population speak chaoui.

→And the LARGE band of the High Plains, which is inhabited by a majority of semi-nomadic bedouins (arabic) and some berbers.

→In the south it's mixed (Timimoun, Adrar, Tindouf, Wad souf), except for the Tassili aera inhabited by Touareg (tamasheq speakers).

Now, all those languages represent a richness for all Algerians, and shouldn't be a way to divide us but a way to unite people, sharing a common history.

It's interesting to say that even though in the "berber speaking areas" , the most spoken language is a berber dialect, the lingua franca has always been arabic, because it was the language of the business between the different areas of Algeria, and the language of the Religion (Islam ~al Qur'an). For instance it's practically impossible for a kabylian to talk to a chaoui. And a mzabi and a chaoui. And a mzabi and a tergui. Etc...

I PERSONALLY THINK this issue comes up a lot of time because there is an identity issue concerning the Kabylians, they are the only one feeling "persecuted" by the "Arab-islamist government".
Amusingly, the Mzab who are berber speaking people, do not have any issue of "arabization" because they deal themselves with the preservation of the Mzab culture, mzab language, mzab architecture.

We have as well an OVERmediatization of the "kabylian issue", even though it's more of an economical one than a cultural one. For instance on internet hundreds of blogs and website called "kabyles.com" use the CULTURAL and LINGUISTIC fact to justify POLITICAL AMBITIONS.

Everyone has the right to be what he wants to be. No one can force someone to be someone he doesn't want to be. I accept the fact that someone say "I'm berber", because it's his identity, and i want to discover his culture. But i do not accept to be told " you are not arab, all algerians are berbers, algeria is berber, not arab".
Nothing is unicolored, we need different colors to make Algeria beautiful.

Thank you.
