WOW! You guys (and girls) manage to find the weirdest things in American culture. You amaze me. When I was brought up in the US I thought this stuff was normal except I knew it was weird. I especially hated the country western genre of music as most of the "love" they sang about was very sick and twisted.

I heard this on national radio whilst driving. We also have some groups whose lyrics are quite dark despite the happy-go-lucky kind of tune they are sung to (Beautiful South springs to mind).
