The 2013 African U-20 Championship starts today in Algeria with two matches from Group A, Algeria vs Benin and Ghana vs Egypt. Algeria is hosting the competition and all the games will be played in Oran and Aïn Témouchent. The games will be shown on the local Algeria channel and Al Jazeera +9. Algeria plays at 5.30 local time. The top 4 teams from the competition qualify to the 2013 U20 World Cup in Turkey, which takes place this summer.

Well that was fun ! Algeria lost 2 games and drew 1 .. finishing last in Group A and also last overall. Egypt, Ghana, Nigeria and Mali qualify to the semi-finals and the World Cup.
