I'm sure you've all heard of the news that's been going around lately about the Algerian hacker Hamza Bendelladj being sentenced to death by the American courts.
But if you don't know who Hamza is or what's his story, here's a brief recap.
In January 2013 Hamza was arrested in Thailand " on charges of stealing millions from online bank accounts fits the profile of a miscreant nicknamed “bx1,” a hacker fingered by Microsoft as a major operator of botnets powered by the ZeuS banking trojan."
But recently there has been rumors about Hamza getting the death sentence, even news agencies covered the death sentence story.
As a result the American ambassador in Algeria Tweeted this:
So IT crimes aren't punishable by the death sentence in the US. (No brainer)
