It is a common idiom, commonly misused
Wreaking havoc= is to cause massive destruction, like to destroy all things living, standing, building, growing, etc...
TamattuT nnegh machi ghir i waghrom
Tattali zang u yis wa Traffed' agastur."
The shawi woman isn't just for house work
She rides the horse and carries a sword.

No we commonly over exaggerate in english, so we do use it in a way that may not mean total annihilation and desruction, like if a dog was loose in your garden or small children let loose in a china shop. I believe it's irony
Truly, to Allaah we belong and truly, to Him we shall return

small children let loose in a china shop

Isn't it a bull in a china shop?
I've normally heard that, and always thought that was a bit OTT (over the top)...at least a child can be beaten if you ever want to stop them lol...not that I would beat a child, it's just a possible solution :whistling: :P

well jannah i have no idea how u use it in uk, but i know when they talk about tonatoes or bombs they use the expression in the papers or news here as "wreaking havoc" from the distruction, there are also video games based on the same terms that are war games

'Twas just an example  I could also say a kid in a playbox or something such as!! It's normal to exagerate, if I were to say I was dying of hunger, or my feet were killing me no=one would think I was actually dying or my feet had it in for me! As for attacking small children Ozzy, I can imagine you'll be the parent of the future in the supermarket with the kid having a tantrum and you chasing them shouting!! :P
