how can I correct my own mistakes? I dont have enough experience....
sure, no problem buddy... ;) here are some easy rules for you to follow... ^_^ :

A PUNCTUATION
1.Capital letters

We always use capital letters for the following:
1.The first letter in a sentence
Fresh water can be drunk. It is found in rain.

2.The first letters of people's names
Ahmad Al-Ali Susan Brown

3.The first letter in people's titles
King Abdul Aziz Prince William
Doctor Asma Mr.Al-Nasser

4.The first letter of the name of a language
Arabic English
Japanes Italian

5.The first letters of place names
England The Tigris River

6.The first letters of most of the words in titles
The Greatest Gift The Water Cycle

7.The first letters of months of the year
January November
June May

8.The first letters of the days of the week
Monday Thursday

2. Full stops

we always use full stops to the followings:

1.At the end of every sentence
Look at those black clouds in the sky.It will probably rain.

2.After abbreviations
e.g Mr. Mrs.

3.In a.m. and p.m.
10a.m. 9p.m.

3. Writing lists

when we write lists,we put a comma between every item.
we do not put a comma before and.
For example:

I am going to buy apples, bananas, oranges and dates.

Something extra to remember

Remember to begin paragraphs about five letters space from the left.
This is called INDENTATION.

The sun shines on the sea.Tiny drops of water evaporate from it.They rise into the sky and
sometimes form clouds. These are sometimes blown....

B. SPELLING

1.Adding S

a.Most verbs we just add s:
arrive:arrives
eat:eats
grow:grows

b.verbs which end with y change the y to ies :
fly:flies
study:studies
carry:carries

c.verbs which end with ch,s and sh add es :
teach:teaches
cross:crosses
finish:finishes

But if there is a vowel before the y,you only add s.
For example: play:plays buy:buys

2.Adding ed

a.most verbs just add ed:
clean:cleaned
finish:finished
repeat:repeated

b.verbs which end with silent e add d:
smile:smiled
revise:revised
use:used

c.verbs which end with y change y to ied:
carry:carried
hurry:hurried
study:studied

If there is a vowel before the y,you only add ed.For example: play:played.

Some verbs double the last letter when they add ed.
for example:
stop:stopped
travel:travelled

3.Adding ing

a.most verbs just add ing:
laugh:laughing
drink:drinking
grow:growing

b.verbs with silent e take off e and add ing:
take:taking
change:changing
use:using

c.some verbs double the last letter.
sit:sitting
swim:swimming
stop:stopping
run:running

What can my enemies possibly do to me? My paradise is in my heart; wherever I go it goes with me, inseparable from me. For me, prison is a place of (religious) retreat; execution is my opportunity for martyrdom; and exile from my town is but a chance to travel ......

. Full stops

we always use full stops to the followings:

1.At the end of every sentence
Look at those black clouds in the sky.It will probably rain

This should be
Look at those black coulds in the sky ! It will probably rain . ( ! mark at the end of an imperative sentence)
Such a mistake would cost you one whole point if you were taught by my written expression teacher :P

NO, I stand by what I wrote... :oioi:
I think both of our ways are correct.
if u were thinking to your self while looking through the window:
Look at those black clouds in the sky.It will probably rain.

Or if u were walking home from school with friends.
Look at those black clouds in the sky! It will probably rain.

thank you.
