Thank you Roukaya for this topic
Of course there are :
First there is Madame Hassiba Boulmerka

Gold medal in 15000m at the Olympic games Barcelona 1992
Gold medal in 15000m at the World Championships Tokyo 1991 and at Gothenburg in 1995
I remember Boulmerka made me cry in 1991...
Then there is Madame Nouria Benida Merah

Gold medal in 15000m at the Olympic games of Sydney in 2000
I remember she said:" I wanted to offer this medal to my people" and yes she too made me cry.
I remember in a french channel the commentator, comparing Nouria to the US athletics stars, he said that Benida was so far from the star system so close to Olympism...he was right...

It was such a disappointment to see Boulmerka go into dirty business (owning a drugs importing society but actually importing clothing) and how she tried to use her acquaintances to get benefits. But if we consider the sports only side then yeah she did a lot for DZ female sports.
Madame Salima Souakri-Dahmani. Judoka.

She hasn't won any competitions in the Olympic games or World championships but has been number one in Africa and in the Arab world for some time in her category.
Then she trained DZ judo female team. And is now involved in "humanitarian" aid inside Algeria.

thank u 4 sharing

What can my enemies possibly do to me? My paradise is in my heart; wherever I go it goes with me, inseparable from me. For me, prison is a place of (religious) retreat; execution is my opportunity for martyrdom; and exile from my town is but a chance to travel ......
