salam, hope you're all doing well smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

So Microsoft is hosting this competition- Microsoft Imagine Cup- it is a competition that challenges students to use technology to address the world's toughest problems, and you'll be pleased to know that Algeria took part. :D

There were two groups, the Green Schtroumpfs(ranked #36) and Epsilon(ranked #59).

However, we've been well not kicked-out, but we didn't make it to the second round I'm afraid

Glad to hear, Algeria made it ......they made it last year too btw ... you can see it in their video

I volunteered this year as an organizer for the middle-east competitions, it was a nice experience for me.

the participating teams showed some brilliant ideas especially Kuwaiti ones
the winner from UAE ,,Indian of course did a great job and got the third place
second place went for Kuwait and Oman grabbed the 1st place

am thinking of participating next year ...still thinking of the idea though

I read about this last week but never thought to even check if there was an Algerian team competing or not.

They really had some great ideas, especially Green Schtroumpfs It basically uses every wasted kinetic energy from equipment we use around the house, gym, or work to try and store then re-use it later. Not bad to be honest, I told you Algerians have the potential and the inspiration needed for creativity and innovation, they just need a chance to show it.
