Antar Yahia, the captain of our national team announced today that it's the perfect time to call it quits with the national team.

Thanks for leading our team to the first world cup in 24 years captain!

Best of luck!

Yaatih saha for everything he did .. he wasn't the most talented defender out there but he more than made up for it with his heart and determination

And who can forget his goal against Egypt ?

I still get goosebumps every time I watch it

After yesterday's announcement, Nadir Belhadj has announce his retirement from the national team as well. He's been with the national team since 2004 and has been an integral part of the team until the emergence of Djamal Mesbah in the left back position.

Although he had an amazing season at Portsmouth, he could've had a much better career in my opinion if he had stayed and fought for a place in Lyon. It was obvious that Grosso was not that great and couldn't manage to hold on to his position for that long after. Many might disagree with that, but I guess kulshi bel maktoob.

We wish him all the best and thank him for everything he's done for the national team.

What ??? Where'd you get that from ??

EDIT: Just checked Le Buteur and they have an interview with him confirming he's retiring .. another legend, I hope Bougherra and Ziani aren't next (even though Ziani isn't get called up anyways)

PS. Mesbah is a very average left-back, nowhere near what Belhadj was

And now Matmour says he's taking a break from the national team to focus on his club .. not that we really need Matmour at the moment (I'd much rather he regain his form before coming back), it's still sad to see all the guys from 2009-2010 like this

very very sad man.. i'm kinda shocked to be honest, especially if Bougherra announces it too :(

According to Elmedan website, there are more who will be making the same announcement soon smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':S' /> according to the website, the main reason revolves around how Karim Ziani was treated and left off the team after everything he gave to the national team.
