BTW seems like lots of players are injured or "resting" so Vahid will have to use a make shift team (especially in defense)

Of all the central defenders called up, only Medjani is available for the game .. Bougherra, Belkalem, Benlamri and Cadamuro are injured, while Bouzid will not play (played with his club 2 days ago)

M'Bolhi, Boudebouz and Kadir will also be rested since they just finished their respective seasons with their clubs

The players that are available for today's game :

Si Mohamed, Zemmamouche, Benmoussa, Medjani, Mesbah, Lacen, Slimani, Soudani, Bouazza, Guedioura, Lemmouchia, Feghouli, Chalali, Ghilas, Tedjar, Hachoud, Djebbour and Remache.

The algerian team needs to develop a good strength in depth, to prevent the nightmare that is injured or resting players...

Games like this will help develop that depth, when guys with little or no international experience get a chance to play and get used to putting on the national team jersey in front of big crowds. Don't forget though that this is basically the start of a new generation. Apart from Bougherra, Djebbour, Bouazza and Lemmouchia, the rest have only been on the team for 1-2 years max and have only played 10 or so games for the national team, and plenty have zero caps.

It's not games against Niger where you discover the tactical aptitude of a coach, we should win games like this easily, just by the difference in talent of our players. It's against teams that are close to our level where a coach's ability is really put to the test.

that's true, but you have to remember our history with tiny teams like these who caused us so much in the past 5 - 6 years
